BarmoaJust a few days ago it was announced that the new compLexity would consist of the Counter-Strike squad and FIFA squad of the former JMC Gaming. Within the next few days we plan to highlight and introduce the newest additions to the compLexity family. The first of this series is one of the two new FIFA players, Bardia “Barmoa” Moayedi. For those that followed the second season of CGS, you will know that Barmoa had a successful time at the Dallas Venom. After the CGS folded, JaX brough him aboard JMC to continue his dream of competitive gaming. Now, Barmoa will be bringing the coL community victories on the field.
First and foremost, welcome to the compLexity family! For those who may be unfamiliar with who Barmoa is, tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Bardia “Barmoa” Moayedi and I’m the FIFA player for compLexity. I live in Los Angeles, CA and I’ve been playing FIFA competitively for the past 8 years.
Jason Lake stated in the GotFrag interview that he had been talking with JaX about the player selection prior to the JMC line-up formation. How were you involved in the initial transition to JMC and eventually to the compLexity brand?
Well, once CGS closed its doors a few months ago I knew that I wasn’t going to give up on gaming. It’s something that I love and FIFA is a game that I’ll always play. When JaX held one of the final team meetings for Dallas Venom, I made sure I let him know that I really wanted to stay in competitive gaming and especially wanted him as my manager. He then told me that he was definitely bringing back JMC and was going to potentially add a FIFA division. Once he offered me a spot on the team I knew that there wasn’t any other group of guys I would rather play for. I immediately accepted and I was very excited.
JaX kept quiet for the most part about the compLexity merger for the sake of not getting our hopes up too high. Once the deal was final I know the entire JMC team was more than excited to be a part of coL and the transition was easy and much anticipated.
Well, once CGS closed its doors a few months ago I knew that I wasn’t going to give up on gaming. It’s something that I love and FIFA is a game that I’ll always play.The compLexity fans have been known to be very outspoken and highly supportive. What do you think will be the biggest transition from playing under the CGS for Dallas Venom and playing for the riot that is compLexity?
I really don’t think that playing for Dallas Venom in the CGS, to now playing for complexity will be that different or a hard transition at all. There are a lot of familiar faces around as far as players, staff and management go. More specifically it’s going to be great having JaX and Jason Lake as managers. JaX was my manager for the Dallas Venom who I really enjoyed playing for, and Lake was a manager for LA CompLexity who I very quickly grew to respect.
Since the CGS folded, how have you prepared for the upcoming 2009 year? What are some of the top goals you expect to have achieved when the year ends?
The closing of CGS did not affect my preparation or training for the 2009 year in the slightest. With or without CGS I was always committed to competitive gaming. I continue to practice playing FIFA more than five hours a day with the ultimate goal of representing coL and the USA at the WCG World Finals for 2009.
To improve from the following season, what will you be improving upon in your FIFA game?
Well, I’m going to be improving on my entire game play as a whole this year but specifically I am focusing more on offensive strategies, particularly on break outs and ball possession.
Eafra was one of the top FIFA players in the second and final season of the CGS. How is it to now have a former competitor as a teammate?
Eafra and I have been friends/competitors going back to FIFA 2001. I must say it’s great to finally be on the same team because we can both learn a great deal from each other as far as training and strategy goes. However, I’m sure Eafra and I will face off again this year as competitors in some LAN tournaments.
With the support of Creative as compLexity’s new sponsor, one would expect you to be attending many events in the upcoming year. When will we be seeing you in action?
It’s definitely great having Creative as a main sponsor. I’ve always used their products and their sponsorship of coL has definitely opened some options for all of us to attend some upcoming LAN tournaments. I still need to figure some things out schedule wise and with management but you may see me at an event live as soon as February. I won’t give much detail now but as soon as it is set I will let the community know which LANs I will be attending. For the mean time I am currently playing on the ESL ladder for FIFA 09 online and the ESL Winter League Group Stage, which we will keep you updated on IRC and the website.
Who is one player you have your eye on dominating in 2009 and why?
I plan on trying to dominate at every competition I participate in this year. There isn’t just one person in particular.

In my spare time I love to play hockey. I’ve been playing ice and roller hockey since I was six years old, and along with gaming it’s one of my favorite hobbies.
